Ed.D.Kane
Old School Freestyle • Underground Hip Hop • R&B
Born May 3rd, 1970 on the West Side of Chicago, Tyrone Wheeler—known to the world as Ed.D.Kane—has been shaping the sound of the streets since 1984. He launched his career as a member of R&B group N, Effect before moving on to work with Ink of Krushed Ice, performing across the Midwest through the early nineties.
Now back with renewed fire, Ed.D.Kane returns in collaboration with c.steele of Element 115 Studios. His sound is a collision of freestyle mastery and old school hip-hop energy, driven by one-of-a-kind beats and a commanding presence that is unmistakably Chicago.
Whether he is stepping up as the freestyle juggernaut Ed.D.Kane or delivering soul-infused R&B melodies as Tyrone Wheeler, the result is always the same: timeless music from the heart of the city.
